This course examines most well recognized central and contemporary theories of peace and conflict studies. Historical development from the emergence of peace and conflict studies after World War II to contemporary research in this area. Analysis of peace and conflict from political, development, human rights, and security disciplines. Analysis of the major schools of peace and conflict resolution mechanisms such as non violence path, mediation and peace dialogue.
